Early 1930s Cypriot Groom posing on his wedding day. After 50 years of abandonment, these glass plate negatives are stuck together in such a manner that any other intervention will destroy them completely. The natural deterioration of these glass plates' negatives, and the random blending of them together by combining two, or three images, which have nothing to do with each other, offer a new balance, referring to the meaning given to their new existence as a single image. The patterns that were generated by the forced entrance of humidity into the image offer the composition a one-of-a-kind natural element. The pictures dated as of the early beginning of the 20th century have all the visual art aesthetics and components of contemporary artworks. The scanning methods used to enlarge these images and the digital manipulation that takes place turn the neglected pictures of the past into Fine Art valuable items today. The sizes these images are offered to buyers add value to them because they eliminate any questions that may confuse viewers that feel the need to recognize the depicted characters. It also brings to their attention the shapes and details of the natural patterns that surround the images. The artwork is only printed once and hand-signed with acrylic paint. All artworks of this series are delivered with a letter of authenticity to my clients. The artworks have the privilege to be the first of their kind worldwide and have been generated from neglected Glass Plate Negatives starting from the early 20th century. You can find out more about my approach to such images by visiting my recent exhibition titled Metamorphosis. Credit has to be given to the talented original photographer of the picture, Spyros Haritou 1901-1991, that has provided a perfect composition. All contemporary art is printed with Archival Pigment Inks (Giclee Print) on Fine Art paper 310gr.

Welcome, I have been experimenting lately with an old Glass Negative Plate Archive that I have inherited. The archive was discovered in a basement that happened to connect to a water canal. The Plates were stored there for over 30 years and as you understand they were damaged to an extent not restorable anymore. The images extracted, prove to contain balanced compositions of various depicted characters blended with each other and mixed beautifully with deteriorated humid motifs. An absolute odyssey of self-generated images. When I interact with them, digitally, I focus on the compositional artistic result of each independent piece, to provide them with the best transformational elements for them to exist in a digital future. In 2018, I was awarded the prize of Excellence at the Larnaca Biennale providing three pictures taken from the archive, and in 2019 I held an exhibition that contain 40 artworks generated again from the archive. In 2022, I took one step further and exhibited my latest work, which was mentored by Artist and Professor Maurice Kahn, in Athens which also provided two NFT Collections. The journey has just begun. Welcome aboard.
