About The Artwork
This installation was created as part of the Art Expedition to Bolivia, in the world's largest salt flat, Uyuni. This scene needed to be captured at twilight - in a short 15-minute window when it's already dark, but not yet completely dark. We got up at 4 in the morning and set out into the desert in the dark to have time to set up and light the circle before the sun rose. A little more delay, and we risked not making it. But everything worked out
