Elysium Photograph

I am an international seascape photographer and digital artist living in Mauritius. My art is about three things: connection (between the ocean, her inhabitants & us), regeneration (of coral reefs & endangered oceanic species) & colour (of the ocean and the sky). I am passionate about protecting coral reefs and showcasing the beauty of the oceans. I tell the stories of the inhabitants of these reefs through bold images and symbolism. A Cancerian, I am drawn to the ocean. It's the place of birth and death and life in-between. My images showcase the magnificent hues and tones of the sea. I am at my most creative when walking along the shore, watching the movement of the waves, the changing shapes of the sand and how the natural light creates a synergy between the two. As an expressionist artistic photographer my niche is high-dynamic range imaging. This technique is important to me because even in the shadows, when they are exposed, everything is there to be seen. You just need to look.
