Marek Straszewski was born in Poland 1967 where his accentuated childhood memory consisted of the bathroom filled with a red light; a dark room created by his father at home. After, graduating high school in 1988, he decided to emigrate to France where in Paris he began his modeling career. He gained experience by standing in front of the lens, which he used after a few years to create portraits of models from Parisian modeling agencies. His photographs were noticed by multiple fashion magazines. He became a regular collaborator for the Polish edition of the Elle magazine for over 20 years. Permanently settling in Warsaw, he set up his photo studio. He became the leader of polish fashion and an advertising photographer. Meanwhile, his interest in music and videos has broadened. He directs music videos for the Polish alternative scene, and he has founded the musical band Scary ‘n’ Eddie. Moreover, he was a lecturer at the Europejska Akademia Fotografii in Warsaw in 2005-2008
