About The Artwork

I love the sea and the sky above it. Two infinite shells surrounding the earth, both at the source of life, are in an eternal conversation. They are a mirror of each other's mood and usually need few words to understand each other. The relationship between sea and sky is resembling an intimate relationship between two people: the occasional heated discussion or emotional conversation, sometimes even a fierce quarrel, at other times a gentle caress or a long intimate moment ... Sometimes there seems to be some distance, but usually they are very close together. They are forever connected, they want and can not live without each other. Every time when I climb on the dunes, as I walk the beach and when I see those two in front of me, I feel like a privileged person. Privileged that I can listen to them, that I may see their interaction, that I am allowed to learn their language and may capture this on photo to share with everyone. In a series of 10 photos I capture the words that the sea and sky speak to each other: the language of sea and sky. The inspiration for this project comes of the northwest coast of Denmark, but also of the wonderful words of the Indian poet and writer Rabindranath Tagore [Stray Birds, 1916]: What language is thine, O sea? The language of eternal question. What language is thy answer, O sky? The language of eternal silence. Limited edition custom made fine art print, printed on Sihl MASTERCLASS Smooth Matt Cotton Paper 320 g/m2 or an equivalent museum quality fine art cotton paper. All limited editions are signed and numbered, and with a certificate of authenticity.

A Rebel With A Cause Rebellion is the true nature of individuality. By taking the path less travelled, it leads me to the treasure of exploring the real adventure of life. I rather follow and manifest my dreams than simply dreaming them and serving the machinery of society and its expectations. I am a free, ‘outside the box’ thinker.
What is a free thinker? ‘It is someone who can see beyond the current structures imposed by life. It is a person who lives for the spontaneity of his or her own creativity. Free thinkers also live freely. They follow no one, even though they may have been influenced and inspired by others’. With my art I bring something fresh into the world. Through my art I express my individual uniqueness and my own true nature. Some people may consider me eccentric, quirky or an outsider - I on the contrary consider myself an insider to the secret processes of life. Through my art I invite you into my free world.
