The certain process of surf removing sand reveals things we shouldn't see. Strong light reveals the barnacles on these old ladies as they dance on the beach, but it's the graceful forms that keep us watching. But, as in theater, the finale is only a matter of time.

This warm-toned limited edition title is a high-fidelity photograph, interpreted in the classical tradition of fine art photography. It invites close exploration.

I captured this scene using large format film, then scanned, artistically interpreted, and printed it onto heavy pure cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks. As it always has, capturing scenes onto traditional film shows delicate textures and tones as our eyes see them. It reveals substance in both the shadows and brightest highlights, and creates a sense of presence in the scene that invites us in to explore or quietly enjoy the moments. Large prints from film provide the fidelity we expect in classic fine art photographs of any size.
