" Expire" 2021 Limited edition giclee print on Velvet Fine Art Paper. I used to think I was born in the wrong place, I said, 'I am gonna leave this land behind, For a life that’s full of fun.' The big city was a dream come true, Thrilling and new. But as the years slipped away, I got tired from the race. I wanted to paint, but my hand shook. I wanted to sing, but my voice was off-key. I wanted to write, but nothing came out right. I take pictures of myself because I don’t have friends. Hardly anyone sticks around till the end. I forget the rules and don’t bend for a lifestyle. My Instagram has one follower, and that’s my other profile. I think I was born in the wrong time, Here, everything is done by a deadline. I want to be free, but my mind is an algorithm. I want to feel something, but my heart is caught in the net. And I just want to attend an event where art is not called content.

I am a self-portrait artist who explores the idea of liberation of the mind from the established stereotypes and expectations that encompass all areas of our lives. I depict characters who seem emotionally unresolved in a world that appears to be shut down, however still remain connected with themselves in their own reality. I photograph my own stock images and create the composition in Photoshop, where I am able to manipulate the light to establish the visual mood and a surrealistic feel. I often don’t have the entire idea planned, I do rely on my subconscious to refine the final composition for an open-ended feel which requires the active role of the viewer in completing the story. I am passionate about storytelling and my artwork is a reflection of my personal process of discovery. There is an utter sense of freedom in that moment of beauty that exists in the world of darkness, loneliness and isolation.
