Art Description

Photography: Color on .

This is one image from my series exposed, which is a series of self-portraits captured in my home country Norway.

The aim of the series is to portray feelings of personal isolation and exposure. I try to symbolise vulnerability through the naked body unsheltered in an abandoned landscape. This project also tries to embody the feeling of personal isolation in society. I represent this through physical seclusion in a natural environment away from society.

This project is very personal to me, as it reflects upon the feeling of loneliness and longing for my home country that I have had while living in London. It portrays my sense of isolation and vulnerability in a big and unfamiliar city, aching for the familiar and safe feeling of home.
