I find some incredible images within my crystals but I never thought I would find a face let alone multiple faces. But I did with this piece. I display this piece the direction I see the most faces but I know you can see other faces if you just turn the piece 180 degrees. Maybe one can find other faces if you turn the piece only 90 degrees. Something to investigate once this artwork is on your walls. Entertain your friends by having contests as to see who can find the most faces. Crystal: Urea

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Carol Roullard has been an avid photographer since high school, where she first experimented with black-and-white composition. Through the years, Carol has continued to hone her photography skills, focusing mainly on nature, looking forward to the day when she could merge her photography skills with her passion for art. Since retiring in 2010, Carol has devoted more of her time to capturing artistic photographs and building up her photographic archives. More recently she has expanded her nature photography to include the microscopic world. Using a high-powdered microscope, Carol discovered an extraordinary, intricate world"”a world of dazzling tiny crystals. Carol searches for unique, complex micro-crystal scenes that will intrigue and invoke conversation. Many of the captured images mimic land and seascapes; others will permit the viewer's imagination to interpret the image. Ms. Roullard's fine art photographs are printed on aluminum. Through experimentation, Carol Roullard found this material to be the only print medium that adequately displays the crystal's spirit, luminosity and depth, much like how the artist first saw the crystals through the microscope.
