Ehtiram Jabi, 1996, is a fine art photographer born and raised in Baku. In his early youth he got interested in art and predominantly in photography. His participation in Yarat Summer School with Magnum Photography in 2014 (lecturers Thomaz Dworzak and Chien-Chi Chang) and photographer David Montgomery left a great impact on his perception of photography, also gave impetus to his professional development in this medium of art. He has been invited as a speaker and participant to the exhibition "Friendship of the Peoples" held in 2015 in Moscow, and in the same year received a prize from Azerbaijan Photographers Union Award "Hope" as a successfully rising photographer. Working as a freelance photo-journalist he partnered with Reuters, ANN, RFE/RL's Azerbaijani Service, Chai Khana and worked as a full state photographer in Oxu.az and Open.az local news portals. Additionally, his series called “On the top”, “White swan”, “Veterans” gained public attention and were released in leading local portals. In 2017, he successfully finished work on his first full-fledged project "Polio"- photobook. Besides, as a visual artist, also being one of the YARAT's resident artists, he collaborated with ARTIM Project Space and held exhibitions on different social and art related topics. His works were displayed in group exhibitions in Russia, Georgia in various years. Currently he is based in Baku and working on different personal photo projects.
