Family Print

Walking in the heart of Vucciria (ancient market of Palermo) I find myself in what was once a theater now unexpectedly a stable. The scene that arises is that of a family unit gathered and intent on treating the stable. I have other sequences that anticipate this scene. The three seem not to care about me, I think: I can get closer. The boy sweeps the entrance of the barn with the broom, just before he arrived at the place with the bicycle, a few moments and here is the final frame. I think: it's extraordinary that they didn't tell me anything. I was there photographing, invading their space, with my 35 mm lens I have to get closer.
