Fashion versus internet - limited 1/5+II Photograph

The streets of India are lined with monumental billboards. They advertise smartphones, children’s happiness in family clinics, fashion, cars, make promises of salvation in churches and political parties. After the campaigns are over, these screens are turned upside down and reprinted on the back. In this way, unintentionally bizarre picture landscapes are created. On a 2,500 km journey by bus through the south of India, these monuments were unmissable. The exposed view from the overland bus made another perspective possible, some of which could not be reached from the road. Tusker Trail describes the route of animals with large tusks, such as the Indian elephant. Instead of wild elephants, it is now mainly the giants of the market economy that dominate the landscape.
