ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The original idea for the work came from images of The Sacred Heart of Jesus depicting flames and rays emanating from said heart. The images are meant to be enjoyed and to show vegetables and fruits in a different kind of fire. Combining multicolored fire engulfing foods in something between a science experiment, prayer and giving birth. And having crazy fun. The actual shooting process involved the acquiring of thousands of images, selecting one and then processing. Inverted to disorient the viewer from what we see around us, but otherwise minimally manipulated.
