Floating Photograph - Limited Edition of 20

Ulla Väätäinen is Helsinki-based visual artist. She works with photography and video. Her works has been exhibited in several private and joint exhibitions and festivals in Finland and abroad. She is fascinated by the fact that matter does not have permanent form and existence. In her photo collages she uses images of objects, materials, structures, and phenomena that are on an edge, in a transitional space or in process. The original significance of the image as a permanent documentation of a memory has evaporated, connections to its original stories have disappeared.
