In the series Forgotten People, I embark on an artistic exploration that seeks to resurrect the untold stories and intricate layers of lifestyle and culture during the Qajar period, with a poignant focus on the tragic fate of ten million individuals who perished in the famine in Iran. Through the innovative use of narrative digital decoupage techniques, coupled with a contemporary iconic vision and deliberate composition, this collection serves as a visual chronicle, honouring the lives of those who have been relegated to historical obscurity. The narrative digital decoupage techniques act as a storytelling medium, enabling the seamless integration of visual elements that convey the depth of the forgotten people's experiences. Each composition in the series draws as a chapter in a visual epic, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the complex narratives of those who lived through the famine during the Qajar era.
