Fragmentarium / Syntopia - Limited Edition of 1 Photograph

In Fragmentarium / Syntopia, the body becomes an object. Without trying to be a defiant attempt at social conventions, the work is built around those persons who ask themselves questions about role, function and individuality. In regards to the development of an integrated identity, I believe it is a path that everyone has to go through and this project offers an analysis of the present without providing answers or conclusions. Identification becomes the obsession of postmodernism through fragmentation, rupture and the refusal of any form of integration. The title refers to the “homo fragmentarium”, this being of the sequential experience in relation to the world. From the Greek meaning of the word σύν (syn - "with the same"), the final version would translate as "together in the same place".
