ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Photography: Black & White, Digital on Paper. 16x20in image on 17x22in paper The harsh concrete roof lines on the Geisel Library building at University of California San Diego. A first impression of this building could be "how ugly, how brutal". Upon closer observation, the weathering, tonal variations, and the natural imperfections of concrete become fascinating. The roof lines create myriad geometric abstractions, depending on your view point. A central figure on campus, this building is well worth a visit. Archival print on Epson Cold Press Bright paper using Epson K3 archival pigment inks. The piece is printed, numbered, and signed by the artist.
