About The Artwork

Description: Somehow, in those distant years, I was driving to work in the morning by public transport, and driving along the embankment I saw the following picture. I had a camera with me, but I did not get off the bus, but continued to go to work, and scolded myself for something that didn't come out and photographed. A few days later in the morning I saw it again, and again did not get off the bus, but I was already reassuring myself. I realized that this will be repeated more than once. The third time, passing by, I got off at a bus stop, ran 200 meters. The girl sat pensively with her legs dangling on the retaining wall, and a wet dog, which had just bathed in the water, had built up beside her. I made 2-3 shots, the girl stood up silently and continued the walk with her dog. I took 2 more shots and ran to the bus stop. It must be said that the children who live nearby spend their time near the water all the time, especially at noon and in the late afternoon, especially since summer and school holidays. Style: I always liked the photos of Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Doisneau, and I could not help imitating them. To protect the photo from harmful effects of the environment, we used: • Expensive back carboard of museum quality (100% Cotton, PH = 0) • Archive yellow ribbon (PH = 0) • Archival quality plastic corners (print holder) .................................................................................. • The photo in the frame for interior decoration • Printed in a darkroom on matte paper (barite) in the early 90s, but framed in 2009 • Image size: 16 x 33 cm ( 6 "X 12,9") • Frame Size: 33 x 42 cm ( 12,9"x 16,5" ) • Signed in pencil on the back of the carboard • The image was retouched by the author (mechanical retouch), and the print began to have a finished look. • The white frame has slight signs of wear

I started taking photographs and printing photographs in a dark room as a boy since 1970. In early 1979, I was already working as a professional photographer, and parallel, I got carried away with creative photography, I photographed for myself what I like. Most often it is an old town, old houses, details of old architecture, a person in an urban environment, nature. For me, photography is, first of all, Art photography, i.e. photography as an independent work of art. A good photo for me falls into two categories, it is a photo with a meaning, or with a mood. Yes, a photograph without any meaning, but which conveys the mood to us. And great luck when these two qualities are present in one work.
