Gravity Angel #6, is part of a larger photo series called “Gravity Angels”. This collection of unique angelic subject matter was captured over a number of years starting in 1983. The notion of working with angelic figures began after listening to the music of Laurie Anderson. The inspiration for the “Gravity Angel Series” has it roots in a live performance at the Brooklyn Academy of Music during that same time period. The performance featured the music of Laurie Anderson, with dance by Twyla Tharp, and cinematic projections by Robert Rauschenberg. Original artwork created by American artist Fred Ciminelli.
