As a lover of “The Liberal Arts and Sciences,” I am fascinated and inspired by the work originated by the Dutch Masters of the Golden Era. Specifically, their usage of rich tints, hues, and textures. With my grassroots as a Fine Arts painter and now a photographer, I draw on my experiences with both mediums when creating artwork. The usage of textures allows me to add volume to my work and expand my imagination. In this image, I wanted to illustrate and share the warmth and breathtaking feeling I felt while capturing and processing this image. I added my signature texture technique to add volume and give the photographic image an iridescent feeling. About Loch Raven The Loch Raven dam was originally built in 1881 in order to feed water to Baltimore City lakes and increase the city’s water supply, but the large reservoir we’re now familiar with wasn’t started until after 1914, when a 51-foot dam was built and water from the Gunpowder River began filling up behind it, eventually containing 1.5 billion gallons of water. In 1923, the dam was increased to 240 ft, it’s current height, and the true reservoir was created, now holding 23 billion gallons of water, enough to sustain the State of Maryland for approximately 50 days, a fact that is startling when one sees the size of the reservoir. According to , a hidden city can be found beneath the waters of Loch Raven Reservoir. This city was named Warren and was located near the Warren Rd. Bridge. Old building foundations can be found throughout the reservoir, especially in the woods near Merryman’s Point, where members of the Merryman family most likely lived prior to the dam being built. There are countless species of plants/trees and wildlife at Loch Raven Reservoir. Other fun facts about Loch Raven: Portions of the Blair Witch Project were filmed at Raven Reservoir. – The reservoir has approximately 50-70 miles of hiking trails. – The original cost of the dam was 5 million dollars, approximately 120 million dollars by today’s standards. – Maryland has no natural lakes, although some are called lakes–Deep Creek, Lake Habeeb–most, including Loch Raven Reservoir, are created by damming rivers and are thereby truly reservoirs. – Loch Raven Reservoir is the largest body of water located entirely within Baltimore County (Liberty Reservoir is larger but is in both Baltimore and Carroll Counties). – The reservoir and the land surrounding it are owned and policed by Baltimore City. – There are 2,400 acres of water surface. The above information about "The Loch Raven Reservoir" was obtained from

As a Cuban American actor and photographer, I've had the privilege of living a life filled with diverse experiences that shape my work. Growing up in Cuba and serving 20 years in the Navy has given me a unique perspective on humanity, allowing me to see both the darkness and the light. This perspective is what drives my passion for acting and photography. When I take on a role, I draw from my own experiences to bring authenticity to the character. I strive to capture reality in my photos, but I also enjoy experimenting with surreal elements to add an extra layer of depth. My approach to art is influenced by various sources, from the mastery of light and shadow in Rembrandt's work to the dreamlike surrealism of Salvador Dali. I also draw inspiration from music, often listening to inspiring tracks while I work. This eclectic mix of influences fuels my creativity and helps me to interpret the beauty in nature in new and innovative ways. As an artist, I'm always looking for new ways to express myself and connect with my audience. I believe that my work should reflect my unique perspective, and I strive to share that with the world. Whether it's through acting or photography, I hope to provide a glimpse into another perspective, something that resonates with my audience and leaves a lasting impression. For me, creativity is not just about expressing myself, but also about sharing my experiences and lessons with others. I believe that art has the power to bring people together, to inspire and to heal. As a Cuban American actor and photographer, I'm proud to be able to share my story and my art with the world. Overall, my work reflects my passion for life, my experiences, and my creativity. I'm always looking for new ways to express myself and connect with others, and I'm excited to see where my art takes me next.
