I was born in Manchester England in 1960, the third of four much loved feral children to Catholic parents Marie and Terence. At aged two we moved lock stock as a family to Weymouth on the English coast and so began for an idyllic childhood of sun, sea and laughter. Aged 18 I was sent off to college to become an adult, meeting my long term friends and scraping a BA in graphics. There was no doubt in me that my talents lay in mischief, love and creativity. London was my home and where I met the father of my children. We left London after 11 years to live again by the sea in Lyme Regis, a beautiful creatively inspiring place. My sister moved to be an active influence in my kids lives and set up a knitwear business using reclaimed wool which after a few years we collaboratively ran. I am a multifaceted, fascinated artist and maker. On one hand I gently control, on the other I let the muse direct. My work reflects my curiosity and respect for the human condition and the planet. I create from reclaimed leather sofas, meditative collage abstractions from postcards and magazines, personal explorations through textile, photography and print.
