Art Description

Photography: Color, Digital, New Media and Photo on Paper and Stone.

A 'trompe l'oeil' of a wall covered in powdery Indian colors.

From the French, 'deceiving the eye', this is not a simple photo. This work is the result of serveral images that I used to literally paint digitally a very realistic texture of a rocky wall. I then painted on it using a powder spray and chose these shades which amzed me when I travelled to India years ago: the colour of spices.

It is a splash of warmth and vivacity to have in a room. The power of its vibrant colours is enough to animated an entire wall. Its spectrum is also wide, ranginging from a bluish-violet to an orangy-yellow nuance. This gives the collector various possibilities in terms of surrounding decoration.
