Born in Monterotondo (Rome-Italy) in 1957 and has lived in the tuscany countryside (Italy) since 2020. Since 1981 he senses the value of a countercurrent photography and undertakes its own path of experimental imprint following assiduous conversations Tazio Secchiaroli, Italian reporter and photographer of the set of Federico Fellini’s films. His artistic beginnings saw him involved in a collaboration with the sculptors Attardi, Manzù, Martinez and Berrocal, whose works he documented and interpreted, showing a personal interest in the investigation of matter and plastic form. In the following years he combines an intense activity of writing and editorial collaboration with a conceptual photographic research. He arrives to theorize the founding principles of an epistemology of the photographic operation: Calligrafia Fotografica®, Stile di Vista®, and “Fotografia Percettiva” on which, in 2006, he designs and activates a didactic format. He teaches as a freelance lecturer to share his ideas and guide his students to the elaboration of a personal visual writing. The Herbert Hoover School of Maryland (USA) has included him in a list of photographers to study for those who want to pursue creative photography. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad and is the author of several publications, not only photographic. He has collaborated with the Italian magazines Fotografare and Fotocine80 and with the American webmagazine ApogeePhoto.
