About The Artwork

Artists driven by the need to investigate tend to accumulate objects, this sometimes gets confused with the disorder of accumulation or also known as Diogenes Syndrome. The question is whether we should also consider this accumulation a psychological disturbance among artists even though it is mainly made for research purposes, people who have it must go through a phase of rehabilitation since this obsession diminishes the quality of life and tends to isolate the subject from society, in some cases the accumulation of objects can occupy more than 75% of the domestic space. The artists often transform their accumulations in installations, scenarios, and reasons, demonstrating how art is a territory of transformation where even mental disorders can become justified and necessary actions for the creative process. In this series of photos, I have recorded the inventories of an architect, accumulations made for many years from the remains of the houses that have been massively demolished in Colombia over the last 30 years, a museum of fragmented memories of Colombian architecture. Doors, windows, toilets, columns and other classified objects are witnesses of the spaces inhabited by others, hidden stories to rescue from the imagination, each object is a story invented. Hallways that start inside the picture and continue in your mind.
