Inversion - Limited Edition 1 of 1 Photograph

My work is about process, place, and time. The fact is, it takes less than one second to record a photographic image. Any one can do this. My approach to photography is weighted in the meditation before, during and after the image is captured. I immerse myself in nature, and take my photographic instruments with me to record the events as they unfold. I utilize photographic glass plates to record the images. I never know exactly what I will get. The resulting image becomes an artifact-a trace impression of the object. I collect, arrange, and organize these images into a larger and more coherent form. The images remain fleeting, delicate, on the edge of what is familiar and what is not.
