About The Artwork
I was inspired by taking macro photographs of flowers at a botanical garden in Paris, Kentucky. I have been working on photographs from Kentucky and this was a great photograph with a blurred background, but needed a little something extra. I started playing with the background and since I am a quilter, I found a tool that helped me create a look of stippling on my quilts. So I manipulated the background, but kept the integrity of the main subject the flower.
