About The Artwork
Kolmanskop is a ghost town near Luderitz in the Southwest of Namibia. Once the principal town of the booming local diamond industry, it was abandoned some 50 years ago and is gradually taken over by the surrounding dunes. What attracted me to photograph inside the old buildings was the peeling, weathered paint and pastel colours on the walls, great subject matter for photography! Collector's Edition #3/9 Signed, numbered and embossed with artist's stamp 24x36" print size Loose print, rolled in a tube Printed on Hahnemuhle Bamboo 290 gsm, a beautifully natural, heavy paper.
