Anna Bambou is a fictional character born out of the meeting of Sabrina, photographer and film director and Marianne, director, project developer and lighting programmer. Sabrina is a Atelier Dominique Sudre alum in analogue photography. Marianne is a 2004 ICCOM graduate in cultural management. Together in 2010, they start collecting testimonies about Anna Bambou and delivering their own vision of those statements. Based on the screen-memories of those strangers, they stage the life of that missing woman by transforming real-life locations or by building sets from scratch, thus creating a custom glass case for the character. That feeling of loss conveyed in those places, those memories and in Time itself, is a heartfelt ballad in the maze of the human soul. After 5 years of investigation, they first showcased the Story of Anna Bambou in 2015 à the Aix-en-Provence Phot’Aix festival and other photography fairs in France. In 2016, they partook in the Arles OFF Festival and won First Prize at the Rencontre de la Photo fair in Chabeuil.
