About The Artwork
"Lady in Quipao" is my metaphorical travel to ancient China and its women. Quipao is a traditional Chinese women garment worn for many occasions especially ceremonies or important events in a life of a woman. Living in China and Hong Kong for a few years has allowed me to observe the life and the traditional Chinese culture with a special attention to women. This is one of many interpretations of their rich and enigmatic journeys from within. "Lady in Quipao" was published exclusively for the Parisian "Le Fil D'Or" magazine.
