About The Artwork
This series is about selling a farm in Maine that I owned and worked for a decade. The prints are hand painted liquid photographic emulsion on rice paper. The subject matter is the milkweed plant, which was considered a nuisance weed by local farmers, but that I insisted on keeping because of its crucial role in the monarch butterfly's life cycle. This piece has been framed professionally in a 15" x 17" frame.
