From my project "Play" The best ideas come to you when you don’t try hard to get them. The best ideas are a result of simple play. With no pressure or responsibility. Wild and free. And limitless. Children know that, but as we grow up, we forget. Our society tends to dismiss play for adults. Play is perceived as unproductive, petty or even a guilty pleasure. The notion is that once we reach adulthood, it’s time to get serious. Yet, if we want to live our lives fully, play is like oxygen. This project was my personal reminder to myself that play is should always remain a crucial part of my life. Wanna play? About Prints I choose the most eco-friendly and sustainable materials to create my prints because I care for the world we live in. All the works are printed on museum-quality Hahnemühle Bamboo fine art paper (290 gsm, 90% bamboo fibres, 10% cotton) and are Giclée prints with life-expectancy up to 200 years. All fine art prints are hand-signed by me (on the front and on the back) and come with a certificate of authenticity. Story You’re about to take one of my works and give it a new home. And this is what I want to share with you. My art is not for everyone. It won’t conquer the masses. But it speaks to people who value emotional connection, like to think, and want to see other realities and perspectives behind the mundane things. My works reflect my journey from an artistically curious little girl, who was fascinated by everything unusual but had troubles fitting in, to a woman who found a way to express herself and to fully embrace who she is. My art allowed me to understand that there’s nothing impossible in life and that we have the power to create our own reality: do what we love, surround ourselves with the right people, and feel the things we want to feel. Now I want to pass this discovery on to you so that you always know that anything is possible.
