Art Description

Photography: Digital, Black & White on Paper.

This image was our very first to win recognition in competition - so, it is special to us.

It began as a photo of the interior of a military plane, taken by Bob Deever, SMSgt (ret), USAF. He is always very open-minded about what I do with the photos he texts to me.

I took that photo, cropped and toned it for a foundation that would allow many versions of it to be created from it. Naturally, the original was saved in case I decided to crop and tone a different way for an altogether different approach.

However, even though I experiment with 20 to 60 versions of it - changing colors, applying filters, embedding additional images, I digitally transformed it into this thrilling future-finding work.
