Visual Colour Multi Media Artist working with acrylics, resin, gel print and photography, specialising in abstract. Recently exploring new sculptural shapes and forms. Colour has a dramatic effect on our emotions, it alters how we feel, it can bring back memories of moments in time. For me, the sea featured highly while growing up, from the clear turquoise waters of North Africa to the deep winter green of the Irish Sea. Summers spent on Anglesey with the bright blue July days when the sun is warm and high and the water gleams, evenings are orange and red in the sunset, nights are emerald and black with glints of light in the waves. Much of my art now is influenced by seascapes around Rhosneigr, Anglesey. At home I love to visit gardens and the wide open spaces of the Peak District, Derbyshire. Many of my photos give me the inspiration to create very vibrant pieces in acrylic. I also draw on my childhood memories to convey feelings in my paintings.
