Archival Giclée Print 16 × 20 in - 40.6 × 50.8 cm Limited Edition 2 of 20 . Signed and numbered . Please see pictures . "Whilst living in Budapest in 2011 I was excited to go to the Sziget Festival, one of the most important events in the summer calendar in the city and one of the greatest music festivals in Europe. As a fan of the band I knew that Skunk Anansie were back together and I was determined to photograph their show especially because of Skin's reputation of being an energetic performer. I placed myself strategically in the audience and felt I had a good vantage point. Suddenly she was crowd surfing very close to where I was - I immediately jumped into action as I didn’t want to miss this opportunity. In this photograph the crowd is literally holding her up and she is still singing - totally trusting in her fans who were holding her up. Because of all this energy going around I had very little time to photograph this special moment. I have seen many concerts in my life, however, Skin's performance with Skunk Anansie in Sziget 2011 is one that I will always remember. (In fact the festival’s official website said the following about Skin after this performance: "nobody had any doubts who the Queen of this year's Sziget turned out to be”) ” Silvio Severino.

He works in both analog and digital formats, which puts him in a unique creative position, whereby he can cross and recross the traditional and the contemporary. Silvio is searching for new values, new visual languages that will allow him to incorporate photography, collage, and animation in new formats. With Silvio and his work, photography often becomes collage, with collage often becoming animated gif. It is an exciting new frontier in contemporary art for which this artist is at the forefront. This is an artist that understands the technology of gifs, glitches, and loops, the bedrock of contemporary gif animation and video art. He finds himself in an enviable position whereby he can use these technologies to expand his work.
