About The Artwork
CONCEPT: Influenced by the Pictorialism, I seek to re-signify the characteristic reality of the photographic language to create atmospheres that take the image to the transcendence of mimesis. For this, I use different techniques that go from the archaic to the modern, such as digital manipulation, hybrid photography, low-fi photography, Cyanotype, Van Dyke Brown , Gum Bichromate, Photogravure, among others. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1981, he is a Visual Artist and Designer. He has studied Advertising at ETEC (Technical School of Communication), has a degree in Printmaking from the Rio de Janeiro Federal University's School of Fine Arts and is currently completing his MBA specialization in History of Art at Estácio de Sá University. His work is dedicated to research in Fine Art Photography with an emphasis on Photography Expanded and Alternative Processes. He also writes about art, culture, design, photography and aesthetics, collaborating with several publications of this kind.
