"Love Me or Leaves No.2" is a photograph I developed in the Cyanotype method from 1842. This method was primarily used to produce copies of drawings or blueprints. This process is done by coating watercolor paper with iron salts to make the paper light sensitive thereby allowing me to develop a negative with the use of the sun or UV light table into a positive image. When the paper is washed it turns a Cyan Blue. Print was made by layering my photography with line art drawing and accented with gold metallic paint. Details: Canson 140lb watercolor paper, gold metallic paint Sold un-framed

I'm starting the second act of my life through the lens of my camera and an interest in the alternative photography processes from cyanotype, a historic process from 1842 where photography is developed in a cyan blue tone, digital intentional camera movement, where photographs look like abstract paintings, glitch, deconstructing photography, and digital manipulation of my work adding unique color hues giving an other worldly look to landscapes. I have a photography love of botanical, landscapes and items with lots of contrast and imperfections which makes for beautiful photographs. I love that after raising my two daughters, being known as mom, employee, wife, and care giver, that I am now a photographer and an artist.
