Photograph I made in the Cyanotype process from 1842. This process was primarily used to make copies of drawings of blueprints. I coated watercolor paper with iron salts that allowed me to turn a negative into a positive image with the use of the sun. Once I wash the paper, it turns a beautiful Cyan Blue. I was inspired to photograph my great grandmother's vintage dishes as a way to preserve a family heirloom in a unique way for my daughters to enjoy. Details: Canson 140lb watercolor paper

I'm starting the second act of my life through the lens of my camera and an interest in the alternative photography processes from cyanotype, a historic process from 1842 where photography is developed in a cyan blue tone, digital intentional camera movement, where photographs look like abstract paintings, glitch, deconstructing photography, and digital manipulation of my work adding unique color hues giving an other worldly look to landscapes. I have a photography love of botanical, landscapes and items with lots of contrast and imperfections which makes for beautiful photographs. I love that after raising my two daughters, being known as mom, employee, wife, and care giver, that I am now a photographer and an artist.
