Man in the High Castle III - Cyanotype Photograph

This is my second series of Cyanotype prints made with everyday objects, reflecting on the world around us and our place in it. Here, playing with Lego bricks and a Lego figure, I made a ghostly figure on top of a stone castle, reflecting on the passing of time and the difference of lifespan. We humans pass while the castle last thousands of year. A point which is moot for the legos which are all plastic anyways. The original is A5 format (21X15cm) on watercolor paper. The blue comes from the reaction between the cyanotype solution exposed to the sun. The areas masked by the subject stay white or pale blue. The process itself is a certainty (the product will react to the Sun's UV rays) but with a lot of randomness (exposure time, shadows...)
