Building harmony around us, organizing reality, balance – are the main themes, which affects the cycle “Mandalas”. Pictures refer, on the level of meaning and form, to the origins of Tantric Buddhism. A key theme in the classic mandala is a symmetrical and structured representation of the wheel representing that which I external and transcendent combined with a square motif that symbolizes what internal and temporal. This is a graphic representation of the way in which chaos becomes harmonious form. The set of pictures by referring to the title and the form to the system of Buddhist meanings is a reflection of the city mandala, showing the surrounding temporality in a new perspective. The power of work further strengthens the technology of the cycle. With the presentation in lightboxes author achieves very strong effect of illumination that intensifies the feeling of transcendence. Contemporary mandala, in authors interpretation, lets harmoniously co-exist contradictions of chaos of the metropolis, the momentum of life, flood of information and a cacophony of sounds. It is an attempt to build a complete life, balanced, full of peace and order, but not devoid of spontaneous joy, creative imagination and love. It is a dance of colors and vibrancy of joy. The dynamics and balance. Urban mandala – meditation of the city of lights. Pictures are presented in the classical form – as hanged on the wall. It is necessary to plug it in to the electrical outlet to lit the lights that are in the frame. The cord is included. Frame is black. Photography printed on glass, framed in wooden frames. Frames are lit with LED lights. UV print is made on Opti White, tempered glass. LED Lights are individually arranged in each picture depending on its nature, color and shapes of bright and dark parts. Picture was presented on solo exhibition "Mandalas" in 2014 in "Galeria obok ZPAF", Warszawa, Poland.
