About The Artwork
My dream was to travel to the Manu National Park in southern Peru and I finally did so in 2017. Such is the biodiversity that UNESCO declared the area a Biosphere Reserve in 1977. I photographed the Many-spotted Hummingbird on the first day in the Humid Montane Forest. I almost missed it since it was so perfectly nestled in the foliage. Hummingbirds, hummingbirds. Present in art representations of many cultures.
