About The Artwork

The artwork is part of the "Melanconia con furore" collection, recently exposed at Galleria Marelia (Bergamo, Italy, May 2018) and Museo della Follia (Salò and Napoli, Italy). The old asylum of Mombello (Milan, Italy) is an incredible and suggestive place. After a my psychiatric desease I started to investigate the brain with many mediums. I wanted to involve the people, so I took these pictures with a stereoscopic camera. The result was an immersive view, but I wanted also to recreate the view of a needy people who lived there. So I inverted the sequence of the stereoscopic images for a disturbing view of the reality. At the end, in the artwork there are two couple of stereoscopic images: two in the right sequence, and two in the wrong sequence. The view of these pictures is possible with a complimentary stereoscopic viewer.
