About The Artwork
The model wears: 70x printed silk-georgette cape by Alexander McQueen Makeup: 1000x sculpting blush by Guerlain This project presents a new way of looking at fashion photography, and also explores how we wear fashion. I ‘dressed’ the model in high fashion garments and ‘applied’ various cosmetics, which were magnified with a scanning electron microscope a hundred to two thousand times. The photographs reduce fashion to its physical core and show how we can be dressed in less than one millimeter of fabric and one milliliter of makeup – ultra economical, sustainable fashion!
