ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Every year, Monarch butterflies grace Central Texas with their migration, stopping at places like Temple College, where butterfly-friendly plants provide essential support. This photo captures a moment from the November 2017 migration, taken right outside my office at Temple College. I was drawn outside to grab something from my car and was delighted to find our butterfly garden bustling with these beautiful creatures. I carefully snapped a few shots, adjusting the lighting and cropping to highlight their elegance. The digital photo is printed on Fuji Crystal DP II matte paper and framed in a solid black oak frame, featuring a matte black Passe-Partout and Mirogard museum glass. **Image dimensions:** 8″ x 8″ **Outer size:** 14.3″ x 14.3″ **READY TO HANG**

Hello, I'm Rebecca, the founder of Kay's Fine Arts, LLC. My artistic journey began in high school when I discovered oil painting. Encouraged by the overwhelming demand from admirers who sought to purchase my creations, I established Kay's Fine Arts, LLC to share my work with a wider audience. Since then, my dedication to producing high-quality, captivating art has remained steadfast. Welcome to Kay's Fine Arts, where creativity and passion come together to inspire. I am a versatile artist specializing in the creation of photo-realistic portraits, impressionistic depictions of wildlife and botanicals, and abstract compositions. My artistic repertoire also extends to encompassing photography in both digital and film formats. Employing a wide array of mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, and markers, I strive to capture the essence of my subjects with precision and emotion. My artistic journey has been deeply influenced by a profound connection to nature, finding inspiration in its inherent beauty and diversity. From the delicate intricacies of humble earthworms to the majestic grandeur of winter oak trees, and the timeless allure of the human form, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world. Portraiture, with its meticulous attention to detail and quest for capturing the essence of individuals, is a constant source of challenge and fulfillment. Conversely, abstract art offers me the opportunity to explore boundless creativity, allowing the interplay of line, shape, and color to convey nuanced emotions and concepts. My artistic passion was ignited in 1991 when I first encountered the works of Romanticism, Realism, Pre-Raphaelite, Impressionism, and Post-Impressionism. Influenced by masters such as Van Gogh, Renoir, Degas, Monet, J.M.W. Turner, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Jackson Pollock, I continually seek to refine and expand my artistic vision, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of aesthetic exploration and introspection.
