Mystical - Limited Edition of 15 Photograph

Mystical is part of a series called A New Light. I worked with model and dancer, Alexis Turner. When brainstorming for our shoot, we discussed her personal experiences of being a woman of color in America, especially how she had been treated growing up in the world of ballet and how she is frequently asked to act and look on camera as a Black female model. The side of her that is soft, serene, graceful, and playful are rarely portrayed. So, we centered our inspiration for these images around expressing those sides of her and creating imagery to counter what often saturates the visual representation of women of color. The image is printed on archival Canson Platine paper. Trimmed with a minimum of a 1 inch border for handling. This print is signed and numbered on the back of the print. Each print is accompanied by a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
