About The Artwork

Portrait of a korat cat made with a stenope (pinhole lens) print on a Fuji Crystal Archive Supreme mounted on aluminium with a gloss finish. For this photograph, I got inspired by the cult science-fiction film, Donnie Darko by Richard Kelly released in 2001. The themes covered by the film are time travel and quantum physics. The stenope lens used refers us to the beginnings of photography but mount on a modern full-frame camera. The silver blue color of the korat cat gives a photochemical blueprinting effect (also known as cyanotype process used during the 19th century).
