I studied photography in Manchester:
After completing a 3 year photography course at Cholton Park College. I wanted to expand my career in fashion photography, so I moved to London in 1989 and worked as a photographic assistant for Stuart Weston for just over two years, from there I got my first assignment with New Woman magazine which kick started my career as a fashion photographer. In December 1991 looking to advance myself as a fashion photographer, I went on a work adventure living and working in different countries around the world which truly inspired me. I worked and lived in Sidney, Athens, Munich and New York, where I pursued a career mainly in Fashion and Portraiture photography. I then moved back to London in 1999 where I am now based. During my travels, I’ve been exposed to many people and their cultures which has broaden my perspective view of life and has helped me with my creativity.
My main areas of interest are Fashion, Portraiture, Beauty, Travel and my own Personal Work. In addition to the Editorials, Commercial and Advertising jobs that I am commissioned to do. There is also my personal work which I don’t really regard as work, it’s more like fine art photography as it allows me to express myself in another creative way and that is something very important and special to me as these pictures are usually taken at the spur of the moment and another way for me to tell a story through imagery. I like the freedom and creative input that I get from photography, and the various people that I get to work with and the different places I get to visit. My main aim in photography is to create something out of nothing and to work closely with my clients and my team to achieve our goals from the beginning to the end of any job or project.
