About The Artwork

Buy a print for a budget price from Saatchi or choose a limited edition print on an aluminium panel which is ready to hang using an included mounting bracket. The effect is a stunning and sleek frameless image which sits about an inch away from the wall. The material is robust, offering an image without reflections which is designed to last many decades. My subject is the beauty of the human form, although this is not to be confused with sexuality, tainted by cultural unease. Because nudity is, ironically, misrepresented as unnatural, I have clothed my nudes in body paint and positioned them to construct ambiguous landscapes which we find more benign and perhaps even playful. In this way my work explores the connections between the material strangeness of reality versus the virtual, of mystery and delusion, transmutation and surrealism.
