ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I took this photo in the Oberkampf as this very tired lady was about to cross the road. She looked like how most of us feel during the time of Covid, at the end of her tether! In this photograph, I captured the raw essence of urban life, contrasting the ephemeral human presence with the permanence of the city. The monochromatic tones evoke a timeless moment, playing with shadow and light to reveal the depth of ordinary scenes. It's a reflection of solitude amidst chaos, a narrative frozen in time that invites introspection. This piece will add a contemplative energy to any space, weaving stories into the fabric of everyday encounters. . This black and white photo is a limited edition of 20 to be printed on photo paper, the actual size will allow for a 5 cm white border for a signature bottom right and a number on the left. All photos come with a certificate of Authenticity.

. My recent paintings and photographs of Parisian, Veinnese and New York everyday life are inspired by the many summers and winters we have lived in the cities. I truly believe thet art is the highest form of hope. Jo Tuck's works are in private collections around the world and regularly participates in shows in New York, Caelum Gallery, and London. , including Christie's Cancer benefit show and the RA Summer shows Her background is film editing until she became a full-time painter and photographer. While she was at college she made two 16mm short films, one on the Australian Aboriginal Women and another on Sheep farming in Wales. After film editing for the BBC and feature films I took up painting and photography full time. My photojournalism is inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Eugene Atget, and Robert Frank .
