Alla ROSHCHINA In 1980 she was graduated from the Leningrad Higher School of Industrial Art - now St. Petersburg State Art-Industrial Academy department of the interior and equipment, Department of Textiles. She is working in different techniques: batik, pastel, ink, watercolor and oil. But also she is rapt with photography. In the beginning it was the classic black-and-white photographs of the city, portraits and landscapes. But the thirst for decorative art and new opportunities allowed to Alla Roschina to develop a special look at the world of flowers. The purpose of her works is give a special look on flowers, distinct from the others. She tries to penetrate into flower’s world open and simultaneously secret, hidden from human eyes. The artist creates decorative panels in special technique between painting and photography. The space in these works is made through the interaction of colors, volumes and transparencies. The light that passes through the petals, highlights them, creating a new range of colors.
