Signed, numbered Limited Edition of 10 Digital Photograph printed on 310gsm Canson Baryta Photographique paper with archival ink. Image size 54.4 x 37 cm Poetics: Mediated Memories 2017 series In this series of photo based artworks are used randomly selected images from a visit (2016) to the 1400 year old town of Yangshuo, China. The aim of this series is to investigate ways in which todays digital media shape our memories and remembrances and how they can be used to penetrate and project feelings and emotions using forms, light and colour, re-creating and re-constructing our memories and what we remember.

Stavros Messinis is a visual artist, journalist and poet. He studied journalism, photography, literature and arts in Greece and Australia. He is mainly interested in literature, painting and art photography. He published four poetic compositions in Greek language and he was a co-editor of the bilingual anthology “Reflections” – a special edition published with the assistance of the Australian Bicentennial Authority. Currently he is working in various photography based projects.
